The Fast Skin Car Wide Spatula from SBS Fast Skin is a wide squeegee designed for quick, bubble-free installation of protective film on large car screens and multimedia displays. The wide working surface presses the film down evenly, pushing out air and application fluid effectively in a single pass. The squeegee is made from a flexible, gentle plastic material that reduces the risk of scratches during installation.

The tool is particularly well suited to installation on large centre screens, digital instrument clusters and passenger screens, where narrower squeegees often give an uneven result. The ergonomic shape provides a stable grip and good control throughout the process. See more screen protector products in our range.

Key benefits of the Fast Skin Car Wide Spatula

The main benefit is the wide working surface, which allows an installer to cover large screen areas in fewer passes than with a narrow squeegee. This reduces the risk of air bubbles or fluid residue remaining under the film, which would otherwise require further adjustment.

The flexible plastic material follows the curvature of the screen while remaining stiff enough to apply even pressure. This contributes to a professional end result when installing on both flat and slightly curved displays.

Is the Fast Skin Car Wide Spatula suited to centre screens and digital instrument clusters?

Yes, the squeegee is specifically designed for large surfaces such as centre screens, digital instrument clusters and passenger screens in modern cars. It also works on other flat or slightly curved surfaces where protective film needs to be applied without bubbles.

• Centre screens and infotainment systems
• Digital instrument clusters (virtual cockpits)
• Passenger screens
• Navigation screens and dashboard displays

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Does the Fast Skin Car Wide Spatula from SBS Fast Skin work for installing protective film on smaller screens such as mobile phones?

No, the Fast Skin Car Wide Spatula is primarily designed for large car screens and multimedia displays, where a wide working surface gives faster, more even results. For smaller surfaces such as mobile phone screens, a narrower squeegee is recommended instead for better precision in corners and edges.

How is the Fast Skin Car Wide Spatula from SBS Fast Skin cleaned after use?

The squeegee is easiest to clean by rinsing it with water and wiping it down with a soft microfibre towel. Avoid strong solvents or abrasive cleaning agents, as these can affect the surface of the material and therefore its gentle properties over time. See more microfibre towels for cleaning.

What sets the Fast Skin Car Wide Spatula from SBS Fast Skin apart from narrower squeegees for film installation?

The main difference is the wide working surface, which allows an installer to cover large screens in fewer passes compared with a narrow squeegee. This reduces the number of overlapping strokes and the risk of air or fluid becoming trapped under the film when installing on large displays.
