The microfibre material captures and retains dirt within the fibres rather than dragging it across the paintwork, helping to minimise the risk of scratches and swirl marks. The mitt is gentle on painted surfaces and is well suited to regular use in professional washing environments. See more Vikan products for car care in our range.

With dimensions of 300 x 230 mm, the mitt offers excellent coverage per wash stroke, making the work more efficient and reducing washing time. It is intended exclusively for cleaning exterior bodywork panels.

What is a Microfibre Wash Mitt and why choose it?

A microfibre wash mitt is a washing tool worn on the hand that replaces traditional wash sponges or cloths. The microfibre strands create a large contact surface that lifts dirt effectively without scratching the paintwork. The Vikan Microfibre Wash Mitt is manufactured to give detailers and car care professionals full control throughout the washing process.

Compared with conventional wash sponges, the mitt format provides a better grip and the ability to adjust pressure precisely to the surface – particularly important when working around mirrors, handles, and other details. The product contributes to a safer wash result and is a natural choice for reconditioning workshops and detailing studios that prioritise paint care.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Does the Vikan Microfibre Wash Mitt clean painted bodywork surfaces without scratching?

Yes. The Vikan Microfibre Wash Mitt has been developed specifically for safe cleaning of painted exterior surfaces. The microfibre strands capture dirt and lift it away from the paintwork rather than dragging it along the surface, helping to reduce the risk of scratches and swirl marks. The mitt is intended exclusively for exterior bodywork panels and should not be used on interior surfaces or glass.

What are the dimensions of the Vikan Microfibre Wash Mitt and what does that mean in practice?

The Vikan Microfibre Wash Mitt measures 300 x 230 mm. The generous size provides excellent coverage per wash stroke, meaning larger surfaces such as the bonnet and roof can be washed more quickly and evenly. The size is designed to fit most adult hands and provides a secure grip throughout the washing process.

How does the Vikan Microfibre Wash Mitt differ from other wash mitts and wash sponges?

The Vikan Microfibre Wash Mitt combines the mitt format with professional microfibre quality, offering better control and ergonomics compared with traditional wash sponges. The mitt design makes it straightforward to reach into curves, around mirrors, and along bodywork details where a sponge is often cumbersome. Vikan is an established brand in professional car care, and the product meets the standard that reconditioning workshops and detailing studios expect.
