Honey Combination Seria R-DA is a medium-soft polishing pad (foam pad) in red foam, developed for finishing work with a DA polisher on both hard and soft automotive paint. The pad's construction delivers low cut combined with high gloss enhancement, making it suitable for the final stage of a polishing process.

The polishing pad is compatible for use with more products from Honey Combination and is sized for standard 80 mm backing plates with an outer diameter of 90 mm.

Thanks to the medium-soft foam, the pad distributes polish evenly and contributes to a consistent result without marks or irregularities in the paint surface.

What is the Seria R-DA Polishing Pad and why choose it?

Seria R-DA is Honey Combination's red finishing pad in medium-soft foam, engineered to work with light Compound and finishing Polish in the final stage of a polishing process. The low cut means the pad removes minimal paint and instead focuses on building gloss and surface uniformity.

Compared with harder polishing pads, the red R-DA pad offers a gentler approach to the paintwork, reducing the risk of overheating and marking – an important characteristic when working with sensitive or thin paint layers.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Does the Honey Combination Seria R-DA polishing pad work with all types of automotive paint?

Yes, the Honey Combination Seria R-DA polishing pad is developed to work on both hard and soft automotive paint. The medium-soft foam construction adapts to the paint surface and contributes to a consistent result regardless of paint type. When working with very thin or sensitive paint layers, it is recommended to test on a small area first.

What diameter is the Honey Combination Seria R-DA polishing pad and which machine does it fit?

The Honey Combination Seria R-DA polishing pad has a diameter of 80/90 mm – 80 mm against the backing plate and 90 mm outer diameter. The pad is designed for a DA polisher (dual action) with an 80 mm backing plate, which is one of the most common standard sizes for both professional and hobby users.

What distinguishes the Honey Combination Seria R-DA polishing pad from harder pads in the same series?

The Honey Combination Seria R-DA polishing pad is a medium-soft finishing pad with low cut, meaning it is optimised for building gloss rather than removing deeper scratches. Harder polishing pads in the Honey Combination range have higher cut and are used in earlier stages of the polishing process to address more severe defects. The R-DA pad is therefore used primarily as a finishing step, preferably in combination with Honey Combination Finishing Compound 3 or Honey Combination Light Finishing Compound 3+.
