What is a Hard Foam Pad and why choose it?

A hard Foam Pad is used when the paint surface requires more aggressive correction, for example when removing deeper scratches, oxidation, or heavy swirl marks. The harder foam material transfers more energy from the machine to the paint, delivering more effective cutting and polishing compared with softer alternatives.

The RUPES DA Foam Pad Hard Blue is well suited as the first step in a multi-stage polish, where a Compound is used to remove defects before a softer finishing pad takes over. The combination of the correct pad and the correct Polish is essential for a professional result.
